Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate inbound and outbound scales to weigh loads, identify contents and commodity codes, and compute ticket totals for payment.
  • •Direct customers to appropriate unloading areas and facilitate payment for in-bound material while complying with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • •Assist customers with pricing questions and maintain account contacts; communicate scrap quality and acceptance procedures.
  • •Coordinate with office personnel to ensure accurate, timely documentation of purchasing transactions.
  • •Test scale equipment for accuracy, report malfunctions, and provide backup truck scale operations as needed.
