Job Summary

Lead the Mobile Workflows team’s infrastructure for Canva’s portable, native-grade mobile experience. You’ll own mobile development tooling (simulator/emulator setup, device orchestration, CLI tools), evolve the mobile test automation framework, and define CI/CD quality gating for synthetic and integration testing. Align cross-team stakeholders across Native Infra, Cross Platform, and DevX to consolidate workflows, codify mobile testing standards, and build shared quality signals—while mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Own mobile development tooling by planning simulator/emulator setup, device orchestration, and CLI tools across iOS and Android.
•Lead the mobile test automation framework for synthetic and integration testing across platforms, coordinating scoping and delivery across teams.
•Set CI/CD quality gating strategy by surfacing and preventing quality issues before they reach production.
•Consolidate fragmented mobile workflows by driving alignment across Native Infra, Cross Platform, and DevX.
•Codify mobile testing standards and build shared quality signals, including company-wide triage workflows and monitoring, while mentoring the team.

Key Requirements

•Deep expertise in at least one mobile platform: iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin), with working knowledge of the other and cross-platform experience.
•Hands-on production experience with React Native (or comparable cross-platform mobile framework) at meaningful scale.
•Experience building or significantly shaping a mobile test automation framework (synthetic, integration, or E2E) with evidence other teams adopted it.
•Background defining quality gating strategy or improving CI/CD pipelines, including mobile build systems and device-farm integration.
•Track record scoping and delivering complex cross-team technical projects across multiple stakeholders.
