Job Summary

Provide technical escalation support and monitor day-to-day operations of network and security infrastructure. Troubleshoot network issues, implement recovery/backup procedures, and investigate event triggers. Operate and maintain AWS cloud resources, including EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, and S3. Build AWS infrastructure with CloudFormation and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and support CI/CD automation with Jenkins and related tooling. Work from anywhere in the US while supporting a Johnston, RI worksite.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical and escalation support and monitor day-to-day operations of network and security infrastructure.
•Interpret monitoring alerts and take appropriate action.
•Perform network problem isolation, determine root cause, and initiate corrective actions.
•Operate and maintain AWS cloud resources, including launching, maintaining, and troubleshooting EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, and S3.
•Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code via Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including version control branching/merges and testing/maintenance activities.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Senior Network Engineer, AWS Engineer, or related role supporting AWS operations and maintenance.
•Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the specified areas.
•3+ years operating and maintaining AWS resources including EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, and S3.
•Experience configuring AWS VPC and RDS subnet groups for resource isolation, and designing AWS CloudFormation templates; also writing shell scripts to create AWS resources.
•Experience with automation and DevOps tooling including Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins (with pipelines), Git/Bitbucket/GitHub, CloudWatch, JIRA, SonarQube, Maven, and Docker for testing.
