Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and validate safety, mission success, and airworthiness; support safety incorporation into designs, operations, and procedures.
  • •Support internal software certification processes and activities.
  • •Perform hazard tracking and risk resolution using System/Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Safety Assessment Report (SAR), and Safety Critical Function Thread Analysis (SCFTA).
  • •Conduct safety assessments and create technical safety memos via engineering and safety review boards; address safety concerns and track safety-critical items.
  • •Analyze software and investigate failure conditions or reported in-service fleet hazards to identify risks and help mitigate and demonstrate safety to customers and regulators.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related fields (Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry) or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • •Active US Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance.
  • •Experience in a role requiring strong verbal and written communication, including briefing and collaborating with stakeholders, management, program offices, and military personnel.
  • •Experience requiring strong analytical skills, including collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets.
  • •Experience as a software or safety engineer.
