Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and enhance FGA SDKs in Go, JavaScript, .NET, Python, and Java using the SDK generator framework.
  • •Customize SDK templates and wrappers to ensure cross-language consistency and support configuration overrides (e.g., store ID, authorization model ID, headers, parallelization limits).
  • •Implement and improve core SDK features including client credentials authentication, error mapping, retry logic with jitter, and rate limiting safeguards.
  • •Build and improve advanced SDK capabilities such as BatchCheck, ListRelations, and non-transactional write operations with appropriate parallelization and performance considerations.
  • •Contribute to SDK generator tooling, templates, build workflows (using Docker), write comprehensive tests, and optimize CI/release pipelines using GitHub Actions while collaborating with FGA Core and open source contributors.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building SDKs, libraries, or developer tooling.
  • •Proficiency in at least one (ideally multiple) languages: Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, C# .NET, Python, or Java.
  • •Solid understanding of SDK development principles, API ergonomics, and cross-language design considerations.
  • •Experience with code generation tools (e.g., OpenAPI Generator) and templating systems.
  • •Experience implementing authentication flows, retry logic, error handling, and client-side parallelization, plus strong testing practices.
