Key Responsibilities

  • •Prioritize safety, health, and environment; foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance through audits and coaching.
  • •Oversee mechanical services and maintenance activities for equipment, machines, processes, and tools to meet quality standards and availability targets.
  • •Plan and manage maintenance schedules aligned to production targets; identify improvements, manage PM schedules, and address downtime with permanent solutions.
  • •Execute daily data validation and reconciliation, close out work orders, and capture accurately coded maintenance reporting within required timeframes.
  • •Manage budget and cost control (including overtime), monitor contractor performance against KPIs, and lead team development via IDPs.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12/N3 Technical
  • •Relevant Engineering Higher National qualification on NQF5
  • •At least five years of practical experience in engineering maintenance operations (mining context)
  • •Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental standards and applicable legislative requirements
  • •Occupational Red Seal Certificate (Mechanical or relevant Engineering) and a SA Drivers Licence (advantageous)
