Job Summary

Lead day-to-day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy for development projects, from feasibility and concept design through planning, detailed design, and construction. Provide drainage, SuDS, flood risk, highways, streetscape, earthworks, and utilities expertise across public/private sectors. Coordinate multi-disciplinary design, support client and stakeholder engagement, and take on project leadership as required, ensuring delivery meets budget, programme, quality, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead day-to-day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services across the project lifecycle from feasibility to construction.
•Provide drainage, SuDS, flood risk, highways, streetscape, earthworks, and utilities technical expertise for development projects.
•Act as project lead on multiple varied multi-disciplinary projects where required.
•Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary professionals and manage client and stakeholder engagement.
•Ensure projects are delivered within budget, on programme, and to required quality for technical and legal compliance.

Key Requirements

•Knowledge and experience in highway design, drainage strategies, flood risk assessments and management, and utility design within the development sector.
•Design experience focused on development sector work including drainage, flood risk, highways, earthworks, and utilities.
•Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations, and construction drawings.
•Knowledge of relevant design codes including Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design Guidance, and SuDS Manual.
•Ability to use or direct/check relevant software including Micro Drainage, Info Drainage, Civils 3D and/or PDS.
