Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee all aspects of IPC programs to reduce/eliminate hospital-acquired infections, manage outbreaks/exposures, and improve clinical practice.
  • •Lead surveillance programs for healthcare-acquired infections and disease reporting, collecting/analyzing data and implementing action plans.
  • •Establish and support the IPC Committee and monitor/evaluate the effectiveness of IPC strategy.
  • •Advise and support departments on implementation of infection control policies, including isolation practices and infection control aspects for clinical equipment.
  • •Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management policies; monitor and report key performance indicators and recommend corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years of experience (required), including experience in prevention and control of infection.
  • •5 years in acute care settings.
  • •4 years’ experience in prevention and control of infection.
  • •Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information to support decisions.
  • •Proficiency using Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office and an electronic medical record.
