Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials to service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Use virtual counseling/electronic communication methods when authorized, and manage duty to warn situations per DoD protocol.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 58,440 - 93,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (or associate degree plus 4 years’ experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
