Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in implementing and coordinating engineering changes and engineering work packages under intermediate and senior engineers’ guidance.
  • •Conduct technical investigations for marine equipment/system malfunctions, including failure/root cause analysis, risk assessments, and solution development.
  • •Support development of engineering requirements traceability, verification, and validation across the engineering change lifecycle, including options analysis.
  • •Prepare and update marine system technical documentation (e.g., manufacturing drawings, design/material specifications, installation/maintenance instructions, and test/trials documentation).
  • •Perform engineering calculations and support design reviews for piping, hydraulic, HVAC, pneumatic, structural, and mechanical systems; support onboard surveys, testing, and verification activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or systems engineering (or equivalent with relevant experience).
  • •Familiarity with systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes.
  • •Familiarity with mechanical design and drafting tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • •Working toward obtaining a P. Eng license.
  • •Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret security clearance.
