Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment; use test instruments (e.g., handheld computers and pressure gauges) to identify malfunctions.
  • •Document findings and upload repair order information using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application; complete DOT and other forms accurately and timely.
  • •Mentor Mobile Diesel Technicians I/II/Sr, manage parts inventory on the service truck, and support quality control inspections and reconciliation.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 7 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., related certification/degree plus 5 years, or 9 years in a related field).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain required ASE certifications (ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE C1 (Service Consultant)) within 18 months.
  • •Obtain 608/609 certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; maintain a current and valid DOT medical card with required remaining validity.
