Job Summary

Support daily kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, basic cooking tasks, and maintaining cleanliness in all work areas. Follow recipes and senior chefs’ instructions to ensure consistent food quality and plating standards. Rotate stock, help manage inventory, and adhere to food safety and sanitation practices to prevent cross-contamination. Coordinate with kitchen staff to support smooth workflow, timely order execution, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in food preparation such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring ingredients.
•Execute simple cooking tasks (e.g., grilling, frying, sautéing, baking) under senior chefs’ supervision.
•Follow recipes and senior chefs’ instructions to ensure consistency and quality, including plating and garnishing standards.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and equipment, including countertops and cutting boards.
•Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, support stock rotation/inventory management, and communicate with kitchen staff to coordinate service.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years of working experience (2 years relevant); GCC experience is a plus.
•Knowledge of fundamental cooking methods including grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, and roasting.
•Understanding of food safety principles for proper handling, storage, and temperature control.
•Familiarity with ingredients (meats, seafood, vegetables, herbs, and spices) and their preparation techniques.
•High school education and a certificate in food service or equivalent cooking experience.
