Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive profitable growth by formulating and executing underwriting plans and portfolio management strategies for D&O, PI, FI and Cyber.
  • •Directly manage the Hong Kong Financial Lines Underwriting team, including underwriters’ performance metrics, succession, and development.
  • •Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority, including selection/denial of new and renewal business for the line of business.
  • •Lead distributor (agents and brokers) and customer engagement to determine insurance needs and support business retention and acquisition.
  • •Establish KPIs and financial budgets, review portfolio performance and data quality, and oversee facultative reinsurance purchases and related strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications.
  • •Over 10 years of Financial Lines underwriting experience, including leading underwriting teams.
  • •Specialized expertise in Financial Lines products, with strong underwriting proficiency in D&O, PI, and FI.
  • •Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, grow business, and drive change in a complex environment.
  • •Strong market presence and industry network, including experience with multinational programs and corporate/multinational insurance programs.
