Key Responsibilities

•Develop and design data center heat rejection and HVAC systems, including cooling loads, airflow management, humidity control, redundancy, energy efficiency, and code compliance.
•Select appropriate air/water-side cooling systems (e.g., CRAH, chilled water, DX/CRAC, in-row cooling, containment) based on data center requirements.
•Conduct internal and external CFD analyses to optimize airflow distribution, identify hotspots, and recommend design modifications with other trades.
•Design for redundancy and fault tolerance, including backup cooling, automatic switchover, and monitoring systems.
•Perform heat load calculations and capacity planning for data center growth, including HVAC loads for admin and common facility sections, and coordinate with electrical/mechanical systems.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 140,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education).
•Experience in data center mechanical and electrical equipment installation and operation.
•P.E. registration is required.
•Knowledge of data center design standards including Uptime Institute TER Standard Topology, TIA 942, and ANSI/BICSI 002.
•Preferred: certifications related to HVAC engineering such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), or LEED accreditation.
