Job Summary

Partner with sales and cross-functional teams in APAC to structure, draft, negotiate, and close a wide range of commercial agreements, including master services, data protection, partnerships, reseller, and professional services contracts. Provide training, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and support operational excellence for APAC growth.

•Structure, draft, negotiate, and provide strategic advice on commercial contracts (MSAs, data protection, partnerships, reseller, professional services), including support for tenders and RFPs.
•Collaborate with sales, deployment, AI engineering, data science, infosec, government affairs, marketing, communications, and finance to support commercial success and ensure legal/regulatory compliance in APAC.
•Deliver results by setting priorities and managing clients amid changing deadlines and demands.
•Stay current on AI-related legal and regulatory developments in APAC, advising on risks and opportunities.
•Provide training and general legal support (e.g., labor law, corporate matters, data privacy, procurement agreements) and contribute to process improvement.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited law school (LLB, LLM, Juris Doctor preferred) and admitted to practice law in Singapore.
•10+ years of relevant legal experience, including negotiating complex technology transactions (AI-focused or related fields preferred), with at least 5 years in-house covering APAC.
•Public sector contract negotiation experience required.
•Solid legal and practical understanding of AI technologies (e.g., machine learning, NLP) and strong knowledge of data privacy, IP, contract law, regulatory, compliance, and ethics.
•Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to clearly explain legal advice and complex concepts to internal teams and customers across time zones.
