Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts across ESBO business activities including licensing, app distribution, media sales, SSP and agency trading agreements, and marketing agreements.
  • •Provide high-quality, pragmatic legal advice on contractual and regulatory risk, particularly in advertising, streaming, and app distribution.
  • •Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for contractual, regulatory, and business risk, escalating appropriately.
  • •Own and continuously develop ESBO Legal contractual playbooks, precedent agreements, and template documentation.
  • •Mentor, supervise, and support junior members of the legal team; liaise with internal teams and external law firms and represent Samsung in external forums as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified solicitor in the UK or a similar jurisdiction with circa 6–8 years’ PQE.
  • •Substantial experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, ideally including content & channel licensing, advertising, and app distribution.
  • •Strong understanding of GDPR and related privacy issues (highly desirable).
  • •Ability to independently lead complex legal matters with sound commercial judgment, prioritising by risk, urgency, and business value.
  • •Comfort supervising, delegating to, and mentoring more junior colleagues; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
