Job Summary

Create and edit structural drawings for mining infrastructure projects in line with WSP CAD standards, producing accurate, high-quality deliverables. Prepare conceptual sketches, detailed construction drawings, 3D models, and extracted 2D drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel or Bentley Microstation. Develop structural, piling, concrete (rebar), steel, fabrication, and architectural drawings based on engineering instructions and codes, performing QC checks and markup-based drawing reviews while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare structural drawings, including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings for structure using Autodesk Advance Steel or Bentley Microstation.
•Create structural deliverables such as piling layouts/schedules, structural concrete drawings with rebar details, structural steel drawings, fabrication drawings, and building architectural drawings based on engineering instructions and codes.
•Develop 3D models and extract 2D drawings from 3D models.
•Perform QC checks and review engineering drawings against checkers’ markups, verifying that drawing modifications are correctly carried out.
•Report progress and risks/concerns to the line manager and coordinate with internal peers and the project team to answer deliverables questions.

Key Requirements

•5-12 years of experience as a CAD designer for structures/drawings.
•Diploma or degree in civil/structure or a relevant field.
•5+ years’ experience in a consulting firm in complementary industries such as oil & gas, power, or mining, using Autodesk or Bentley tools.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
•Experience with Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Revit, Navisworks, Vault, BIM 360) and/or Bentley Microstation and Projectwise.
