Key Responsibilities

  • •Concept to detailed design of water dams, retarding basins, and service basins.
  • •Perform inspections, investigations, and condition assessments of existing dams, including review of monitoring data.
  • •Conduct alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, and detailed designs using design drawings and technical specifications.
  • •Carry out potential failure mode analyses and risk analyses for water storage and hydropower dams, including facilitating risk workshops as needed.
  • •Manage multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients and technical review boards, mentor junior staff, and represent the organization in conferences.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or related field) plus 10 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Experience with embankment dams.
  • •Relevant dam project experience including inspection, rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.
  • •Experience performing inspection, design, and/or engineering activities in dams or water-retaining structures.
  • •Preferred: 15+ years of dam experience including inspection, rehabilitation and/or new design and construction.
