Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end operational support for Snowflake, Databricks, and other cloud data services to ensure availability, performance, reliability, scalability, and stability.
  • •Lead incident, problem, change, capacity, and availability management, including establishing operational standards, runbooks, support procedures, and service management frameworks.
  • •Define and report platform SLAs, SLOs, and operational KPIs; perform root cause analysis and drive continuous service improvement and automation/self-healing capabilities.
  • •Develop and present executive operational reviews and dashboards, including uptime, service health/incident trends, MTTR, compliance, capacity/performance utilization, cost optimization, and support metrics.
  • •Lead, mentor, and develop the Cloud Data Platform Operations organization; manage vendor relationships and serve as the operational escalation point for critical service issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • •10+ years’ experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, or platform engineering, including Azure and/or AWS environments; 5+ years leading platform/DevOps/infrastructure/operations teams.
  • •Enterprise-scale experience managing cloud data platforms, specifically Snowflake and Databricks (plus other data platform services).
  • •Strong ITIL service management experience, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
  • •Hands-on cloud and data platform expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Azure) and cloud data services, plus big data/data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Flink).
