Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess and improve existing security controls within GCP and Kubernetes to mature the organization’s security posture.
  • •Integrate security best practices early and often (“shift-left”) across the software development lifecycle with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams.
  • •Design, implement, and manage security tooling and automation for vulnerability detection, remediation, and compliance verification.
  • •Evolve identity and access management (IAM) to ensure least-privilege access with robust auditing capabilities.
  • •Drive vulnerability management and enhance incident response preparedness, while establishing and communicating practical security standards and promoting security awareness across engineering.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 179,451 - 187,900

Key Requirements

  • •Understanding and practical experience securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure, especially Kubernetes environments (GCP experience strongly preferred).
  • •Strong grasp of networking concepts, identity management (IAM), encryption, and common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
  • •Hands-on application security experience, including secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and security testing (SAST, DAST, IAST), with threat modeling exposure a plus.
  • •Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform.
  • •Development experience with Go and/or Python, with 5-7+ years of experience in a high-growth startup or similar environment.
