Key Responsibilities

  • •Directly supervise and coach Retirement Benefits Specialists and Senior Retirement Benefits Specialists, including performance feedback and day-to-day guidance.
  • •Oversee retirement plan administration to ensure operational tasks follow plan provisions, ERISA, and internal controls, including remittance of contributions and year-end compliance testing.
  • •Serve as an escalation point for complex plan questions; coordinate with vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • •Partner with retirement vendors to perform due diligence on MEPs/PEPs, monitor service levels, and enhance processes to improve operational excellence.
  • •Lead support for MEP/PEP mergers and annual 401(k) plan audits, including Form 5500 filings, and coordinate data, communications, and timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience focused on 401(k) plan administration required.
  • •1-3+ years of leadership experience (supervisory or lead) required, preferably in retirement or benefits operations.
  • •Proven ERISA knowledge and understanding of retirement plan operations.
  • •Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of experience, skills, and education preferred.
  • •Third-Party Administration (TPA) experience preferred; Multiple Employer Plan (MEP) or PEP experience is a plus.
