Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform pre-coating operations including surface preparation and masking duties.
  • •Perform post coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures, masking removal, troubleshooting, and diagnosing malfunctioning equipment.
  • •Make minor repairs on coating equipment and perform deburring, blending, polishing, countersinking, grinding, drilling or grit blast operations.
  • •Check parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using micrometers, verniers, height gauges and fixed gauges.
  • •Assist engineers and others in developing new or changed operations and make recommendations for improving parameters and processes.

Key Requirements

  • •0-1 years of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+ years related experience.
  • •High School or GED
  • •Experience with metal finishing methods, spray coating/paint application, machining, grinding, and/or welding (preferred).
  • •Experience with computerized machine operation (preferred).
  • •Experience with precision measuring instruments such as feeler gauges, verniers, calipers and micrometers (preferred).
