Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs, in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document all work on Repair Orders (including pictures, parts used, and findings) using the company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application while completing DOT forms accurately and on time.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience (or equivalent combination, such as an additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools needed for the role.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; a current valid DOT medical card may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
