Key Responsibilities

  • •Humane handling of livestock and preparation activities on the kill floor, including stunning, bleeding, skinning, and eviscerating hogs.
  • •Inspect hog carcasses visually and trim off bruised meat and other visual contamination.
  • •Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), keeping the work area clean and tidy.
  • •Monitor Critical Control Points (CCP) per the plant’s HACCP plan.
  • •Serve as a key trainer for on-the-job training and promote safety and respectful team culture; notify supervisors of unsafe or policy-violating conduct.

Key Requirements

  • •6 months work experience with one employer in the last 24 months, with worker history documented on application or resume.

  • •Knowledge of hydraulic cutters.
