Perform diagnostic, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs on customer and internal vehicles while ensuring safety and CarMax quality standards are met. Inspect vehicles and complete required state inspections, manage repair orders with accurate labor/parts/billing documentation, and use proprietary and universal software systems. Maintain a clean, organized workspace following CarMax 5S, safety protocols, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements, while supporting associates and managers with functional expertise.

•Perform accurate diagnostics and complete mechanical and cosmetic repairs on all vehicle systems.
•Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax Quality Standards and complete state inspections when required.
•Manage repair orders with accurate labor, parts, and billing documentation.
•Utilize proprietary and universal software systems.
•Maintain a clean, organized workspace following CarMax 5S standards and safety/EH&S requirements, and provide leadership/function support across the store.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 22.2 - 43.2 hourly

Key Requirements

•Complete CarMax New Associate Orientation and Kronos Training for Hourly Associates.
•Read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately for record-keeping.
•Provide excellent communication and customer service, including active listening and telephone etiquette.
•Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
•Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE certifications in listed areas (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8).
