Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage ECS requirements for thermal management, ventilation, pressurization (where applicable), and contamination control for UAV subsystems and payloads.
•Perform system safety analysis and support design lifecycle activities in accordance with ARP4754.
•Conduct thermal modeling and simulations (e.g., Thermal Desktop, ANSYS, Fluent CFD, MATLAB) to assess temperature distribution, heat loads, and cooling needs.
•Design and validate thermal control solutions including active/passive cooling, insulation, and airflow management, and analyze environmental stresses.
•Develop verification and validation plans for thermal performance and environmental testing, analyze test results, and prepare certification documentation aligned to standards such as MIL-STD-810 and DO-160.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Environmental Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
•10+ years’ experience in aerospace or defence industries focused on environmental control systems and thermal management.
•Experience with UAV or aircraft environmental systems, including thermal design, analysis, and system integration.
•Knowledge of aerospace environmental standards, qualification methods, and safety-critical system development.
•Experience with thermal modeling/simulation and support for ECS testing, integration, and validation.
