Build and run thermal FEA/CFD models, define operating conditions and design limits, lead prototype test execution, and present results at reviews with cross-functional partners.
Location: United States
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Own thermal design and analysis of electronics across board/component level through enclosures and full assemblies for multiple platform classes.
  • •Create thermal architecture and heat-rejection paths (conduction, natural/forced convection, cold plates, heat sinks, heat pipes, TIMs, coatings) to keep components within temperature limits.
  • •Define hot/cold operating conditions and edge cases for each platform, accounting for environmental factors across air, maritime, ground, and wearables.
  • •Execute thermal FEA/CFD modeling and define design limits; conduct prototype builds and thermal tests including sensor/DAQ setup and data post-processing.
  • •Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers; present thermal status at reviews and support failure reviews/root-cause analysis with test and thermal analysis data.
