Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment and material-handling vehicles to load, unload, transport, and relocate military equipment, cargo, and government property between transportation modes such as rail and truck. Perform pre-trip inspections, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and maintain required records for weekly and monthly activity reports. Support warehousing and vehicle turn-in tasks, comply with safety rules, PPE requirements, and installation/state regulations at an on-site facility.

Key Responsibilities

•Load/unload and transport military equipment/vehicles/cargo for/from multiple transportation modes, including rail and truck/trailer.
•Unload vehicles from commercial carriers promptly to avoid detention charges and move freight using forklifts, handcarts, or manual equipment.
•Receive turn-in vehicles from customer units per wheeled/tracked turn-in instructions and external SOPs.
•Perform warehousing duties such as verifying receiving documents, routing storage, stacking/palletizing, inventory, and preparing items for shipment.
•Conduct pre-trip inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs while maintaining mileage/tonnage/movement records and following PPE, seatbelt, and safety requirements.

Key Requirements

•No specific educational requirements.
•1+ year experience operating commercial vehicles to drive 5-Ton or larger equipment/vehicles with hazardous material.
•Experience operating RT 240 Kalmar/RTCHs and a 36K forklift.
•Maintain a current State of Colorado Driver’s License prior to start date (or within 30 days).
•US Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain a NACI to obtain a CAC; pass background check, drug testing, and motor vehicle report results.
