  • •Run the worldwide Telco Field Engineering business, helping customers understand and implement Canonical open source solutions.
  • •Lead and develop managers and teams of Field engineers across presales and professional services.
  • •Solve customer problems by promoting Canonical technologies and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • •Actively participate in technical presales and represent the team and products to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • •Implement disciplined engineering processes and plan/manage progress on goals and projects while collaborating with other leaders.

Key Requirements

  • •Thorough technical understanding of the telco NFVi (VIM), NFVO, VNFM and MEC space, plus key infrastructure technologies such as CPU Pinning, NUMA, SR-IOV, and DPDK.
  • •Familiarity with telco architecture and industry standards.
  • •Working knowledge of at least one domain: Mobile Packet Core (4G/5G), Private Network, Radio Access Network (RAN), Voice, IP Backbone, VAS, or OSS/BSS.
  • •Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies including Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, and Ceph.
  • •Experience in technical presales, plus a track record of leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers and managers.
