Job Summary

Serve as a Principal Systems Administrator supporting Linux enterprise and Windows environments in a 24x7x365 DoD closed-area setting. You’ll design, implement, maintain, patch, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Windows 11, and RHEL, ensure continuous compliance (STIG/EVAL STIG, SCAP/ACAS), and manage virtual infrastructure with VMware vSphere. Own imaging, deployment, and automation using SCCM/MECM, PXE, and PowerShell, while coordinating with cybersecurity and DevSecOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, maintain, patch, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Windows 11, RHEL, and virtualized infrastructure in a mission-critical 24x7x365 environment.
•Perform Windows and Linux patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities (STIG/EVAL STIG, SCAP/ACAS, log collection) with cybersecurity teams.
•Deploy and sustain virtual infrastructure using VMware ESXi and vCenter, including VM lifecycle management, host upgrades, and performance tuning.
•Engineer imaging, deployment, and automation solutions including MECM/SCCM, PXE, Windows imaging, in-place OS upgrades, and scripted software deployments with PowerShell.
•Administer core Windows services and integrations such as Active Directory, Group Policy, secure configurations, certificate-based authentication, and user environment support.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years relevant experience.
•Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance prior to start; U.S. citizenship is required.
•Experience administering and securing Windows and RHEL servers.
•Experience with VMware virtualization and virtual infrastructure support.
•Experience with PowerShell scripting and secure system configuration/hardening.
