Job Summary

Build and optimize Wahed’s centralized data platform, including data pipelines, data warehouse, data lake, and data hubs. Assemble large datasets to meet business requirements, and engineer ETL infrastructure using SQL and AWS “big data” technologies. Create analytics tools and reports for key metrics like customer acquisition and operational efficiency, partnering with cross-functional teams while ensuring secure data separation across regions.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and maintain a centralized data system including data pipeline architecture, data warehouse, data lake, and data hubs.
•Assemble large, complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
•Create ETL infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from a wide variety of sources using SQL, Events, and AWS big data technologies.
•Build analytics tools and reports that provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other business performance metrics.
•Work with stakeholders to support data-related technical issues and ensure secure data separation across national boundaries using multiple data centers and AWS regions.

Key Requirements

•At least 3 to 5 years of Data Engineering experience.
•A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
•Strong Python coding skills and advanced SQL skills.
•Experience with big data systems, pipelines, architectures, datasets, and ETL tools.
•Comfortable performing root cause analysis and working in a Linux environment.
