Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detention officer duties including detention, searching of male detainees, processing, safeguarding, security, and escort as required by contract.
  • •Exercise surveillance and control to maintain order and discipline; enforce facility rules and regulations.
  • •Attend to male housing units and detainee well-being (feeding, lavatories, and care) 24 hours a day.
  • •Maintain accurate logbook entries and conduct security and sanitation checks prior to relieving the outgoing officer.
  • •Inventory and receive equipment, ensure proper working condition (including communication radio), and complete required training including defensive tactics.

Key Requirements

  • •US citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident with physical residency in the continental United States and residence in the U.S. for the last five years.
  • •At least 21 years of age; possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) verified through background check.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance and pass background and consumer credit checks (no criminal record).
  • •Possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a state security guard license.
  • •Speak, read, write, and understand English; pass medical examination and pre-employment/random drug tests, and meet physical demands/fitness standards.
