Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement and embed Group Audit vision and strategy within the audit portfolio with UK and regional leadership.
  • •Support development of risk assessments and audit plans, ensuring appropriate coverage of emerging and systemic risks.
  • •Manage and oversee delivery of audits to excellent quality, on time, and on budget, including using Centres of Excellence and encouraging data analytics/IT/GenAI.
  • •Prepare clear audit reports and support pan-UK Board and Audit Committee reporting with themes, trends, and root causes.
  • •Build stakeholder relationships, champion learning and experimentation, coach and upskill team members, and uphold ethics and integrity.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field and/or an Internal Audit or Compliance professional qualification.
  • •Significant experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance in financial services, with substantial experience in the P&C insurance sector.
  • •Strong understanding of Internal Audit standards/methodology and internal control frameworks, with excellent report writing skills.
  • •Proven relationship management skills, collaborating with and influencing executive/senior stakeholders.
  • •Experience applying “new world skills” such as Data, IT and AI within audits, plus strong project management and decision-making autonomy.
