Key Responsibilities

  • •Review a full range of contracts and associated documents with a primary focus on construction industry contracts.
  • •Provide clear, concise feedback on contract risks and conduct timely follow-up calls with colleagues.
  • •Proactively manage and lead negotiations for complex agreements.
  • •Support the Asia legal division by maintaining awareness of legislative and regulatory requirements impacting operations.
  • •Establish and maintain professional relationships with the business and external parties such as clients and their legal counsel.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified lawyer with 6+ years of legal experience from a reputable law firm or an in-house legal team specializing in construction law.
  • •Law degree and 6+ years relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with multinational construction industry companies.
  • •Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and reviewing construction industry contracts.
  • •Strong communication skills with proficient English (oral and written).
  • •Ability to balance commercial and operational imperatives with legal risk and apply independent judgment.
