Job Summary

Lead delivery of NEC4 highways and infrastructure schemes in the South West, managing complex projects from inception to completion. Work with on-site Supervisors and Quantity Surveyors, administer NEC contracts, and manage early warnings, compensation events, defects, and invoicing. Build strong relationships with clients and contractors, produce project control and programme management reporting, and ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with H&S, CDM, QA, and technical review needs.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead NEC contract administration and project management processes to ensure compliance with NEC4 requirements and best practice.
•Act as Project Manager under NEC contracts, issuing instructions, managing early warnings, and maintaining accurate records.
•Lead and coordinate delivery with on-site Supervisors and Quantity Surveyors, using construction knowledge to verify work against the contract and works scope.
•Manage defects, early warnings, and compensation events, and ensure invoicing is completed in accordance with the contract.
•Produce project control reports and manage programme management, including commercial forecasting and cost control.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience in the Highways/Infrastructure sector with a strong background in NEC contract management.
•Experience managing NEC contract processes, including early warnings, compensation events, and programme updates.
•Knowledge of Construction Design Management (CDM) 2015 and associated duties.
•Financial and commercial awareness, with experience in project and resource management.
•NEC4 accreditation or qualification (highly desirable).
