Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure documentation packages are accurate, complete, and ready to transfer to suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.
  • •Update designs and drawings, conduct DfM/DfA reviews, and maintain documentation for customized products.
  • •Author and maintain assembly and inspection procedures for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and opto-mechanical modules and sub-assemblies.
  • •Manage change and product structure updates within CAD and PLM tools, maintain drawing standards, and release technical documentation packages to external vendors.
  • •Coordinate with suppliers to troubleshoot production issues, maintain documentation for improvements, and ensure BOMs are properly structured and accurate for procurement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • •Minimum 3 years of professional experience in mechanical design and creating manufacturing documentation packages for outsourced production.
  • •Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor) and experience using PDM software (preferably Autodesk Vault).
  • •Thorough understanding of fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and electromechanical and/or optomechanical assembly techniques.
  • •Proficiency with product lifecycle management (PLM) and configuration management processes (ECO/ECR/MCO).
