Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct manufacturing and material handling activities on the given shift.
  • •Train and supervise hourly employees; administer plant rules and procedures in the absence of the Site Manager.
  • •Manage work schedules to prevent idle time and optimize manpower, machinery, and materials, including overtime scheduling.
  • •Maintain quality standards, inspect products for defects, and stop machines/production for safety or quality issues.
  • •Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with safety programs (including lockout/tagout and hearing conservation), including serving on the Plant Safety Committee and reporting production information at shift end.

  • •Education: High School Diploma or GED; some post-secondary education preferred (technical/vocational) in business management or manufacturing, plus 3 years of team lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
