Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and verify read-out ICs (ROICs) for visible and infrared focal plane arrays.
  • •Evaluate process flow elements from design to synthesis, including place and route, timing, and power use.
  • •Define architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, and specify module interfaces.
  • •Design mixed-signal integrated circuits for image sensors, including analog signal chains, digital timing/image processing, and low-power 12–14 bit on-chip ADCs.
  • •Guide major design tasks and may provide project leadership, including technical leadership, budget, schedule, and metrics tracking.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • •Experience with full-custom CMOS IC design at the transistor level using IC design flows and tools.
  • •Experience with CAD tools such as Cadence and Mentor Graphics (Siemens), plus analysis/programming tools such as MATLAB and Python.
  • •Experience with high-end UNIX-based software tools for circuit simulation and analysis (e.g., noise analysis) and for physical design/automation/verification.
  • •Modeling experience with System Verilog/Real Modeling/Verilog AMS and coding synthesizable RTL.
