Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical strategy and long-term architecture for Smartsheet’s financial systems ecosystem across ERP, procurement, planning, payments, billing, tax, integrations, data, automation, and AI.
  • •Lead and develop the Financial Systems Engineering organization covering platforms including NetSuite, Coupa, Planful, Stripe, ZoneBilling, Metronome, and Avalara.
  • •Serve as senior technology leader for NetSuite and ERP, ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, audibility, and alignment with complex SaaS needs.
  • •Drive major Finance transformation programs, including ERP reimplementation/modernization and billing transformation, establishing standards, governance, and delivery practices.
  • •Advance data quality, observability, automated testing, and an AI strategy for Financial Systems Engineering, including AI-assisted and agentic capabilities with appropriate controls.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressively responsible experience across financial systems, enterprise application engineering, ERP, software engineering, and systems architecture.
  • •5+ years leading technical teams, including experience managing managers and senior technical leaders.
  • •Deep experience with NetSuite or comparable enterprise ERP platforms, including architecture ownership and long-term platform strategy.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading a major ERP implementation, reimplementation, or transformation program through design, implementation, stabilization, and evolution.
  • •Strong understanding of financial business processes (e.g., record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, billing, payments) and SaaS monetization architectures (subscription plus usage/consumption-based).
