Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the work site and other sources to support drafting and design activities.
•Assist with drafting tasks for substation projects, including physical and civil layout drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy and client alignment.
•Use 3D CAD software to prepare detailed substation drawings, layouts, equipment arrangements, grounding plans, and electrical connections, developing proficiency in these tools.
•Prepare multiple design versions for engineer review and ensure compliance with contract requirements and standards.
•Provide technical design assistance focusing on fit, form, and function, including tolerances and quantity calculations, while ensuring constructability and maintainability.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma.
•5+ years of relevant post-education experience in drafting and design support.
•Experience with discipline-specific design software (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation, Inventor).
•3D parametric modeling experience using Inventor, SolidWorks, or other applicable software.
•Familiarity with drafting and design support principles, practices, processes, methods and techniques.
