Job Summary

Develop FPGA designs for major vendor families and device technologies, supporting applications such as gigabit serial interfaces and RF/EO DSP. Collaborate with circuit card, systems, hardware, and software teams to define requirements, architect solutions, model algorithms, partition and code in VHDL, and run simulation and place-and-route. Verify designs with directed and constrained-random tests, track coverage, and deliver production-quality releases with complete documentation and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept through production.
•Collaborate with systems, hardware, software engineers, and program management to ensure product success.
•Code and design FPGA logic in VHDL for reliability, maintainability, reviewability, and reusability.
•Verify designs using directed and constrained-random testing with coverage tracking.
•Create and maintain documentation, verification plans, user guides, and configuration management throughout development and release.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and less than 2 years of prior experience.
•Experience in digital design and HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
•Experience delivering FPGA solutions to system-level applications.
•Experience with at least one FPGA device brand/tool set (Altera, Lattice, Microchip, or AMD).
•Experience with FPGA integration/debug and verification (e.g., oscilloscopes/logic analyzers and timing constraints/timing closure).
