Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and maintain the community of Android/iOS engineers across the Mobile Foundation, Channel Transformation and beyond.
  • •Lead and govern adoption of the “HSBC way” for engineering Android/iOS mobile apps.
  • •Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD tools and build pipelines.
  • •Collaborate with technical leaders and product owners on engineering standards, roadmap definition, and requirements gathering.
  • •Attract, onboard, and retain diverse top talent by collaborating with the recruiting team and regional Heads of Engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience as a Lead or Senior Android/iOS Engineer in a large-scale mobile engineering environment.
  • •Strong leadership, including mentoring junior/mid engineers.
  • •Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to help Android/iOS engineers develop more productively and with high quality.
  • •Track record collaborating effectively across multiple engineering centers in multiple territories.
  • •Passion for open source ways of working and advocating for quality (including writing testable code).
