Job Summary

Use data science and machine learning to develop, analyze, and model high-volume datasets for auto insurance rating and risk decisions. You’ll support new product innovation by building models, generating actionable insights, and evaluating the impact of operational changes. Partner with vertical and product teams to design cutting-edge solutions, apply statistical and predictive modeling techniques (including GLM), and occasionally guide small project teams and junior staff while helping develop best practices.

•Develop, analyze, and model operational and organizational data to quantify business performance and evaluate potential operational changes.
•Analyze complex data to recommend solutions to new problems and develop strategies, including assessing market/operations impact.
•Apply and integrate statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling, and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate high-volume data.
•Support and improve existing models while partnering with vertical and product teams to deliver new analytics solutions.
•Occasionally lead small project teams and provide informal guidance to junior staff; explain complex risk-related information.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 95,300 - 158,800 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent); Master’s/Ph.D. preferred.
•3+ years using data manipulation and AI/ML methodologies, ideally with credit data for insurance or financial services.
•Strong expertise in R, Python, and/or SQL (or equivalent analytics tools).
•Experience manipulating and merging large datasets in distributed computing environments.
•Strong ML fundamentals, including hypothesis testing, sample design, model development and validation; solid programming with ML/data packages and/or Scala.
