Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement RAG backend capabilities, including retrieval, re-ranking, context construction, prompt orchestration, response aggregation, Graph RAG patterns, and agentic search planning/tool calling.
  • •Build pipelines for multi-modal/multi-type data processing and indexing, including extraction/OCR, chunking, enrichment, embedding, and incremental re-indexing with rollback.
  • •Optimize retrieval, ranking, and graph reasoning using hybrid retrieval, multi-stage recall, reranking, deduplication/diversity controls, and graph-based strategies.
  • •Generate grounded, supported answers with explicit support (citations, evidence snippets, metadata), including refusal/insufficient-evidence handling and traceable outputs for auditability.
  • •Ensure security/compliance and governance across access controls, masking, audit logging, encryption/secrets management, and data lineage/provenance, and drive quality improvements via evaluation/A-B testing and cross-team collaboration.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • •5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI) or Go.
  • •Hands-on experience with core RAG components and patterns, including chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, reranking, context management, citations/attribution, and evaluation.
  • •Experience with containerisation and cloud-native engineering (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD), including production troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • •Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to deliver under constraints across security, compliance, performance, and cost.
