Key Responsibilities

  • •Support customers across the power system lifecycle including startup, commissioning support, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies.
  • •Provide 24/7 on-call availability for field service engineering and technical support for electrical power distribution equipment.
  • •Operate with strong knowledge of power distribution troubleshooting, test equipment operation, communication, and safety precautions, including compliance with UL, NEMA, and NEC standards.
  • •Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties; identify and present additional sales opportunities.
  • •Manage multiple projects independently and mentor less experienced technicians.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or higher with at least 5 years of field service experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.
  • •Or, in lieu of a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited trade school and/or program with 9 or more years of experience in evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems.
  • •Knowledge of power distribution, 3-phase power systems, and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment.
  • •Ability to work variable hours (including nights and weekends) and travel within the district/state/region based on customer requirements, including driving an Eaton vehicle.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card and complete DOT non-CDL qualification if required.
