Key Responsibilities

  • •Investigate welding defects and technical queries, collaborating with manufacturing teams to improve processes and working instructions.
  • •Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and quality requirements.
  • •Review welding and NDT non-conformances, supporting root cause analyses and corrective actions.
  • •Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance welding quality, efficiency and manufacturing performance.
  • •Maintain accurate welding documentation, certification and traceability records while coordinating qualifications, inspections and external compliance activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 54,490

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrable experience developing and qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • •Practical knowledge of welding coordination activities and compliance with ISO 3834, PED or equivalent quality standards.
  • •Experience working in defence, aerospace, pressure vessel, oil and gas, or similarly highly regulated industries.
  • •Technical understanding of TIG and PAW welding processes and experience supporting detailed fabrication activities.
  • •Relevant engineering qualification in welding, manufacturing or mechanical engineering (titanium or other high-spec materials desirable).
