Job Summary

Design and develop next-generation equipment and tooling for maritime manufacturing, including factory layouts, movement/holding/processing systems, and production-system digital twins. You’ll support requirements definition, facility creation planning, and the design through commissioning/start-up of production systems at new factory sites. Partner with manufacturing technology, product design, engineering, operations, facilities, EHS, and finance—plus external vendors—to deliver efficient, on-time production and performance-ready production lines.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and create factory layouts and discrete designs using digital thread, CAD, simulation, and computer graphics to support lean manufacturing and production performance.
•Define requirements for production system design and facility creation to deliver cost- and schedule-effective factory solutions.
•Support design, development, construction, commissioning, and start-up of production systems at new factory sites.
•Support product manufacturing processes, material flow, and new technologies to meet production performance and timelines.
•Lead hands-on work, set examples, and coordinate collaboration across internal teams and external vendors to deliver production system designs and facility commissioning.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years designing and developing tools, tooling, equipment, and processes for manufacturing technology development, simulation modeling, digital thread development and/or production/process engineering.
•Technology development and implementation experience with facilities, equipment, and tooling for large-scale manufacturing.
•Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment next to operations and manufacturing engineering to understand and optimize the production system.
•Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
•Experience integrating manufacturing equipment, tools, technologies, and practices into production systems and manufacturing models across product lines, groups, or businesses.
