Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare feasibility study reports, define and monitor project scope, and collaborate with the WSP India team to develop design specifications aligned with employer requirements.
  • •Execute detailed electrical design work in compliance with HK/India regulations, codes of practice, and CDM requirements, including complex calculations and coordination.
  • •Review and validate design calculations to ensure QA and technical sign-off, and provide accurate input for project costing while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • •Coordinate project documentation (drawings, specifications) and address client queries to ensure timely delivery of construction-related information.
  • •Lead the design process, manage risks and delegated tasks, maintain document control and archiving processes, and coach junior staff on best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer, with a strong focus on electrical and ELV systems concept design and space planning.
  • •Expertise preparing IFC drawings and documentation (schedules, datasheets, schematics, and P&ID) and delivering electrical load calculations and technical submittals.
  • •Strong knowledge of BS, HK and ME codes, with experience producing compliant detailed designs and drawings for tender conditions.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit MEP and Navisworks is highly desirable.
  • •Hands-on ability to cover electrical design scope including lighting/power/earthing/lightning protection, power distribution/containment, fire alarm and related systems, grounding & bonding, and report/specification writing.
