Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect and build a unified test environment with target-side test firmware and host-side Python/LabView execution frameworks.
  • •Develop C-based MCU test firmware exposing internal hardware peripherals, drivers, and system functions via serial/bus APIs for external host control.
  • •Create reusable abstraction layers and drivers for MCU peripherals and benchtop lab equipment using PyVISA/SCPI/vendor APIs.
  • •Debug and troubleshoot issues across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries, engaging engineering and manufacturing teams on test coverage.
  • •Maintain automated test suites, analyze results, and develop HITL regression stations; support board bring-up and bench validation as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •5+ years designing and developing in Python, including architecture and development.
  • •Experience writing embedded C for microcontrollers for test instrumentation, register-level access, and exposing test hooks/APIs to a host PC.
  • •Experience developing or working with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test systems.
  • •Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
