Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of energy market opportunities, regulatory developments, customer segments, and emerging business models.
  • •Review, interpret, and synthesize utility tariffs, regulatory orders, RTO/ISO market rules, interconnection requirements, and procurement mechanisms.
  • •Build, audit, and enhance complex financial, operational, and economic models to evaluate business opportunities and investment decisions.
  • •Translate complex technical information into clear business implications, risks, decision points, and recommended actions.
  • •Develop executive-ready presentations and business cases to inform senior leadership and support strategic growth opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •5-10+ years of experience in energy markets, utilities, retail energy, power development, consulting, trading, regulatory affairs, energy analytics, or project finance.
  • •Deep knowledge of the North American energy industry, wholesale power markets, utility business models, and customer energy solutions.
  • •Experience analyzing ISOs/RTOs such as ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO, or similar wholesale market structures.
  • •Advanced Excel modeling skills, including comfort reviewing and improving detailed financial, operational, or market models.
  • •A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Energy Systems, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
